Data Safety Summary
DavianVault is designed with data minimization and zero-knowledge security as foundational principles.
Data Collected
DavianVault does not collect user data by default.
All data stored within the application is:
- Explicitly entered by the user
- Encrypted locally on the device
- Fully controlled by the user
Data Types Handled (User-Provided)
- Passwords
- Secure notes
- Documents and attachments
- Personal and confidential information
DavianVault does not infer, generate, or collect additional data.
Data Usage
User-provided data is used only to provide:
- Local encrypted storage
- Core application functionality
- Optional encrypted synchronization (if enabled)
No data is used for analytics, advertising, or profiling.
Data Sharing
DavianVault does not share user data with:
- Third parties
- Advertisers
- Analytics providers
- External services (except encrypted sync if enabled)
Due to encryption, no third party can access plaintext data.
Data Encryption
- All data is encrypted using industry-standard cryptography
- Encryption occurs before storage or synchronization
- Encryption keys are controlled exclusively by the user
Data Retention & Deletion
- Data remains stored only as long as the user chooses
- Users may delete data at any time (Local and cloud synced data)
- Uninstallation removes all locally stored encrypted data
Platform Scope
This disclosure applies equally to:
- Windows
- Apple platforms (macOS, iOS, iPadOS)
- Linux
There are no platform-specific differences in data collection or handling.
