Profile & Account
What You See
The Profile screen is accessible by tapping your profile card at the top of Settings.
The screen shows:
- Your profile photo (from your Google account, or your initial if no photo is set) — large, centered
- Your name and email address
- An Account Information card showing:
- Your email address
- Your last login time (shown as relative time: "Just now", "5 minutes ago", etc.)
- An Actions card with:
- Lock Vault — lock your vault immediately
- Sign Out — sign out and return to the sign-in screen
- A Danger Zone section (red header) with:
- Delete Vault Permanently — permanently erase all data
At the bottom, an info note: "Profile information is managed through your Google Account."
Lock Vault
Locking your vault removes the decryption key from memory. Your data remains on the device (encrypted), but you must enter your master password or use biometrics to unlock again.
How to lock:
- Tap "Lock Vault"
- A confirmation dialog appears
- Confirm to lock
- You're returned to the Unlock screen
The vault also locks automatically after the period you've set in Security Settings (default: 5 minutes of inactivity).
Sign Out
Signing out logs you out of your Google account within DavianVault, locks the vault, and returns you to the Sign In screen. Your local vault data remains on the device (encrypted).
How to sign out:
- Tap "Sign Out"
- If your vault has data, a confirmation dialog shows how many items you have
- If cloud sync is enabled and you haven't synced recently, a sync warning appears:
- "Sync Now" — syncs before signing out
- "Continue Anyway" — signs out without syncing
- If you don't have a recent backup, a backup warning appears:
- "Create Backup" — creates a local backup before signing out
- "Continue Without Backup" — skips the backup
- If you skip the backup, a final risk warning confirms you understand unsaved changes may be lost
- You're signed out and returned to the Sign In screen
Delete Vault Permanently
WARNING: This action is irreversible.
Deleting your vault permanently erases:
- All stored passwords, notes, cards, and documents from this device
- Your cloud backup on Google Drive
- Your encryption keys and recovery key
How to delete:
- Tap "Delete Vault Permanently" in the Danger Zone
- A first warning dialog appears explaining the consequences
- A second confirmation asks: "Are you absolutely sure?"
- Confirm to delete
- All data is erased, cloud backup is deleted, and you're signed out
After deletion:
- You'll be returned to the Sign In screen
- If you sign in again, you'll start with a brand new empty vault
- Your old data cannot be recovered by anyone
